Payco is looking to hire a Warehouse Associate at its Middletown location. There is an immediate need for part-time work, summer work, or full-time work.
Warehouse Associates perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, counting, organizing and retrieving stock in the warehouse.
As a Warehouse Associate, your duties will include:
Receive and Process Shipments: Inspect incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage, sort and label items, and store them in designated locations.
Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, ensuring safe handling to minimize damage.
Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory counts, maintain accurate stock levels, and update records.
Facility Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards, reporting any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet production goals and participate in discussions for process improvements.
Compliance and Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and company policies, participating in safety training programs to promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand or walk for extended periods.
Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in order picking and inventory management.
Basic Math Skills: For counting inventory and understanding stock levels.
Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Previous Experience: Previous experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment is a plus.
